Where Cal.com is the better choice, said first
Cal.com is open source, developer first, and free to start or self-host. If you want API-first scheduling, routing forms, round-robin team booking, or checkout by card, ACH, bank wire, crypto or Cash App, Cal.com is built for that and Sessurely is not. That is a real answer and you can stop reading.
Sessurely is a narrower tool on purpose. It does one job for one person: protect a solo practitioner’s time by making a missed appointment cost the client, with the money landing in that practitioner’s own Stripe account.

Both apps let a client pay when they book, and neither takes a commission on your prices. What differs is the path the money takes to reach you.
On Sessurely
Every charge is created directly on your own connected Stripe account. You are the business Stripe pays, and Stripe deposits to your bank on your own schedule. Nothing is parked in a Sessurely balance for you to withdraw, because Sessurely is not in the payment path. If we vanished tomorrow, your Stripe account and the money in it would still be yours.
On Cal.com
Cal’s native option, Cal Payments, is powered by Whop and built on Whop’s embedded checkout. In Cal’s own words, hosts “see their balance directly inside Cal and withdraw through Cal Payments.” So the money arrives as a balance held through a third party that you then withdraw. Cal.com also offers a separate Stripe app if you would rather connect your own Stripe instead.
Neither path is dishonest. They are different answers to the same question. If you have ever had funds sit in a platform balance waiting on a withdrawal, you already know why the answer matters.

Rows marked “not published as a separate fee” mean exactly that: we could not find a published figure, so we do not invent one. There is no commission on your session prices on either side, and card processing is charged by the processor on both.
What Cal.com does that we do not
It is a platform and a developer tool. Cal.com is open source, self-hostable and API-first, with routing forms, round-robin team scheduling and a long list of integrations. If you are technical, or you run a team and need bookings routed between people, that flexibility is the product and it is a good one.
Sessurely is the opposite of flexible, on purpose. One practitioner, one calendar, one job: the appointment that does not happen should cost the person who missed it, and the recovered money should be in your account rather than a balance somewhere.
So the honest way to choose is this. If you want a flexible scheduling platform to build on, use Cal.com. If your problem is empty slots from no-shows and you want the recovered money to land in your own Stripe, that is the one we built.
What you get with Sessurely
Your own booking page and calendar, a real client book with notes and history, intake forms, reminders, packages and gift cards. A deposit or a card on file holds the booking. When somebody does not turn up, you mark the no-show and the fee you set is charged to the card they already agreed to, through Stripe, into your own account. No invoice and no chasing.
Nothing is ever charged without you confirming it first. That is a deliberate limit rather than a missing feature: a tool that bills your clients on your behalf is a tool you switch off the first time it gets one wrong.

Does Sessurely take a percentage of my session prices?
No. There is no commission on your session prices, ever. You pay one flat monthly price. The only additional fee is 2% capped at $10, and it applies only to deposits, no-show fees and late-cancel fees. Packages, gift cards and anything you take in person are 0%. Stripe’s standard card processing applies to charges, as it does everywhere.
Is Cal.com or Sessurely cheaper?
